The nation’s inaugural freeway – which was first authorised as a public/personal partnership funding scheme in 2020 – will hyperlink the northern and southern areas of Angola, together with connections with neighbouring Namibia and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Provinces to see expanded infrastructure embrace Cunene, Zaire, and Cabinda.

Bridge works, presumably over the Congo River, are anticipated to hyperlink Zaire and Angola’s Cabinda enclave.

Preliminary research for the venture will begin later this summer time with building work anticipated to begin in late 2025 or 2026.

A date of completion was not accessible.
